About notepad64
notepad64 is a note and file editor for phones and desktops. Notes live on a server you run, not in someone else’s cloud, and every client talks to it the same way: an Android app, an installable web app, and a native Linux desktop app.
Voice notes are transcribed by whisper.cpp on your own machines, on a GPU when there is one and on the CPU when there isn’t, and search covers what was said as well as what was typed. The phone and the desktop keep a full copy, so you can read, write and record without a connection; edits made in two places meet as a choice, never a silent overwrite.
Folders can be shared with other people to read or to edit, and a note can be sent on to other apps, such as an item in thingfile or a new-project proposal in mystice.
